about us

In Campbell' 1970s heyday, construction of an unusual restaurant, The Garret, began at the just-opened Pruneyard in Campbell.

Upstairs, The Garret was an easy-going self-serve operation with a folksy atmosphere for hanging out, watching games, having a quiet talk in a secluded booth or celebrating with friends.

Downstairs had the feel of an intimate wine-cellar atmosphere with table service and live entertainment 7 nights a week. Notable entertainers from "back in the day," included Juice Newton and Joe Sharino, Terry Federman, Joe Ferera and Joe Cannon. If the walls could only talk...

To the dismay of many, the Garret lost its lease in 1993 and closed its doors.
But wait...all was not lost! In 1996, The Garret reopened!

Yeah! It was received with open arms from its large past and present fans and once again enjoys its own unique charm, lively atmosphere, and friendly service. We recognize familiar faces from the original Garret and our staff (some from the 1970s!) have the opportunity to serve second-generation Garret fans who now call the Garret their home.
